Capt Mohamad Arif bin Abd Rahman successfully participated in the United Nations Military Observer Course (UNMOC) conducted at the Centre for International Peace and Stability (CIPS) in Islamabad, Pakistan from 6 to 17 October 2025.
The course brought together 38 participants representing 17 member states, focusing on the preparation and training of officers for deployment as United Nations Military Observers. It emphasized enhancing participants’ understanding of working effectively within a multinational environment, thereby strengthening their ability to contribute to the successful implementation of UN peacekeeping mandates. ![]()




In addition, the course incorporated the use of artificial intelligence and virtual reality (VR) technologies, enabling participants to visualize and simulate real mission environments. This innovative approach enhanced their ability to analyze, communicate, and respond effectively to complex operational scenarios, mirroring the conditions faced in actual peacekeeping missions. ![]()

Throughout the course, participants engaged in expert-led sessions and interactive lectures delivered by distinguished professionals from the United Nations and CIPS.
The course concluded with a closing ceremony officiated by H.E. Mr. Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. ![]()
