Maj Mohd Izzad Mahizan bin Azizan RMAF, from Malaysian Peacekeeping Centre (MPC) attended the United Nations Military Peacekeeping Intelligence Train the Trainers (UNMPKI‑T3) Course held at the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) from 05 April 2026 to 23 April 2026.
This three‑week course, sponsored by the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to serve in intelligence (U2/G2/S2) appointments at Force Headquarters, Sector, and Battalion levels in UN Peace Operations. Throughout the course, the focus remained on developing a clear understanding of UN military peacekeeping‑intelligence structures the roles and responsibilities of intelligence officers, the intelligence cycle, information acquisition planning, Request for Information (RFI) management, Analysis of Operating Environment (AOE) and Intelligence Estimate (IE).
The training also aimed to enhance participants’ ability to share ideas, learn from one another and contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials and practices within their respective armed forces and among other member states.
