The Malaysian Peacekeeping Centre (MPC) successfully hosted the United Nations Core Pre-Deployment Training Materials (CPTM) Training of Trainers Course in collaboration with the Integrated Training Service (ITS), Department of Peace Operations (DPO), New York from 2 to 11 June 2026.
This course aimed to develop and standardize a pool of qualified national instructors capable of delivering CPTM in accordance with United Nations standards and guidelines. It ensures that all deploying personnel meet the minimum UN pre-deployment training requirements.

, Philippines
, Republic of Korea

Throughout the programme, participants enhanced their understanding of UN peacekeeping principles, guidelines, and legal frameworks applicable to diverse national and cultural contexts. The course also strengthened participants’ ability to deliver CPTM effectively, while providing opportunities for direct engagement with ITS officers and representatives from other Member States, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
In addition, participants’ instructional delivery skills were assessed for potential inclusion in the ITS International Trainer Roster. The course also supported the implementation of the UN Gender Parity Strategy 2018–2028 by promoting meaningful participation of women in peacekeeping operations through gender-sensitive training and inclusive instructor selection.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Vice Admiral Datuk Sabri bin Zali, Commander of Malaysian Armed Forces Education, Training and Doctrine, at the Ban Ki Moon Auditorium on 11 June 2026.
