Major Ahmad Saiful Rizal bin Yaacob served as an Instructor, while Major Halifah binti Sarkinin RMAF participated as a course participant in the Uniformed Women Peacekeeping Training (UWPT) conducted at the ROK PKO Centre, Korea National Defense University, from 12 May to 27 May 2026.

The training programme was designed to enhance participants’ understanding of the role and contribution of uniformed women in peacekeeping operations while strengthening their professional competencies in accordance with United Nations standards and principles. The course covered key topics including gender perspectives in peacekeeping, protection of civilians, leadership, communication, conflict-related sexual violence, and the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda.

Throughout the programme, participants engaged in lectures, group discussions, case studies, and scenario-based practical exercises aimed at improving their ability to operate effectively in multinational peacekeeping environments. The training also provided a valuable platform for professional exchange among military personnel from various countries, fostering international cooperation and the sharing of best practices.

The primary objective of the training was to strengthen the capacity of uniformed personnel to support the meaningful participation of women in peacekeeping operations and to promote gender-responsive approaches in mission planning and execution. The programme successfully contributed to developing more capable, inclusive, and effective peacekeepers prepared to serve in complex and dynamic operational environments.
