The celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri in Malaysian Peacekeeping Centre (MPC) for this year 2024 carried out a unique and exciting experience, with the theme of United Nations Peacekeeping Mission Area. MPC had successfully held Eid Fitri Celebration Feast on 3rd May 2024 at Blue Haven Hall, as a yearly MPC tradition in celebrating month of Syawal with all MPC’s staff, stakeholders, and neighbours' military units, along with their families.
All attended guests enjoyed the delicious traditional Malay food and sweets such as ketupat, rendang, lemang, and serunding, and share in the festivities. The joyous celebration of Eid brings all closer together and promotes a sense of unity and harmony among all Staffs. A competition on decorating the MPC Sports Team food stalls has showed MPC’s Staff team spirit. MINURSO was declared the champion, UNMHA became the second, and MONUC the third, while UNIFIL completed the table in fourth place. On top of that, five families also have been awarded as the family best dress as they dressed up in their best traditional attire with their significant family theme colours. The highlight of the Eid feast was the duit raya giveaway for children, by the Commandant, Col Noor Azman bin Hj Yahya, and his wife, Puan Nur Fitriah binti Ahmed Fadzil, followed by the attraction of fireworks show outside of Blue Haven Hall. To conclude, MPC has celebrated this year festival with a sense of togetherness, love, and compassion.
