Major Muhammad Aliff Haiqal bin Abdullah, a Staff Officer of the Malaysian Peacekeeping Centre (MPC), participated as a guest instructor in the CIMIC Staff Officer Course at the Peace Support Training Centre (PSTC), Canada, from October 1st to 12th, 2024. The course aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the duties and roles of a CIMIC Staff Officer in various operational contexts. It was designed to ensure participants gained a balanced understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of CIMIC skills, with a focus on planning, evaluation, and impact.

As MPC is developing a new CIMIC course curriculum for 2025, this collaboration with PSTC offered a valuable opportunity to establish an effective platform for implementing best practices at MPC. Knowledge sharing among instructors from Canada, Italy, and Poland greatly enriched the course, highlighting its added value.
