The Malaysian Peacekeeping Centre (MPC) successfully conducted its first-ever CIMIC Staff and Operator Course, Serial 1/2026, from 19 January to 6 February 2026.

A total of 23 officers from the Malaysian Armed Forces attended the three-week course, which aimed to build knowledge and skills in planning and carrying out CIMIC activities during peacekeeping operations. Two observers from the Peace Support Training Centre (PSTC), Canada, also joined the course to share their experience and observe training methods.

Participants took part in lectures, group discussions, and practical exercises. Four main activities were held — Exercise Small Talk, Exercise Interviewer, Exercise Civil Footprint, and Exercise Blue Shield — focusing on communication, assessment, and coordination in the field.

All 23 participants successfully completed the course. This milestone marks another important step for MPC in strengthening its role in peacekeeping training and promoting international cooperation.
