The Malaysia Peacekeeping Centre (MPC) has successfully concluded its participation in the 10th ASEAN Peacekeeping Centers Network (APCN) Meeting, hosted virtually by the Philippines from 4 to 8 May 2026.

Throughout the week, we joined forces with delegates from all 11 ASEAN member states to address the theme: "Sustaining Partnership and Cooperation Amidst Evolving Peace Operations". From harmonizing training doctrines to advancing gender mainstreaming, the outcomes of this meeting reinforce our collective readiness to support UN peacekeeping missions worldwide. MPC Commandant, Colonel Samsul Asmadi bin Mohamed Amin, contributed a key presentation on Contingency Planning during the session on Imperatives of Regional Partnerships in Complex UN Peacekeeping Environments.

Drawing from his extensive experience in missions like UNIFIL, Colonel Samsul shared strategic insights on how ASEAN peacekeepers can adapt to increasingly fragile and urban mission environments. Supporting our leadership were Lt Col Mohd Adlie bin Mohd, Major Mohd Fauzi bin Ismail and Major Sathiyaah Asokumar, whose participation on behalf of MPC in the breakout sessions and group presentations. Their contributions helped share Malaysia’s strategic insights and best practices with our ASEAN partners. MPC leaves this meeting with strengthened institutional linkages and practical recommendations to enhance regional interoperability.

Together, ASEAN stands united for peace!
